21.2 to RG Sharma, Low bounce has trapped Rohit lbw. No review after a ten-second chat. 133ks on a hard length, lands on fourth stump and came in with the angle to beat the pull. Rohit squatted but couldn't adjust in time. Hit in front of middle on the right thigh. Height and direction likely the reasons for not reviewing. Was a seam-up ball. Hawk-Eye shows three reds, hitting middle. 161/2 48.5 to KL Rahul, This reverse lap would indeed be jealous of the last one as it ended in the keeper's gloves. 126ks given I saw the graphic right. Was another yorker landing around leg (just in front of the crease) and Rahul spread his feet and looked for another ramp. Edged it to the keeper who took a highish catch to the right. 341/6

3.1 to YBK Jaiswal, Burger strikes and Jaiswal is on his way. Length ball at 143.1kph, that lands around off and straightens after pitching. Jaiswal pokes at it, gets a feather of an edge through to de Kock, who ain't dropping these.. 25/1 42.5 to V Kohli, Is that a catch? Yes, no 200 for Kohli! All of 65 short but this has been a masterclass on a two-paced pitch. Everyone at the ground stand up as Kohli - still looking like he's 25 - walks and twirls his bat high to acknowledge the ovation. Everyone in the change room welcome him warmly. Was a back-of-lengther around fifth stump. Kohli charged down early to try and flat-bat it over extra. Got an edge that popped high. Brilliancy from Rickelton too, charged to the diagonal right from cover and dove full-length to take a sliding catch. 115ks. Replays show Markram giving Kohli a low-five to congratulate him. 276/5

49.4 to RA Jadeja, Low full toss has been hit to long-on. 134ks. It's on off stump. The scrambled-seam ball went towards fourth stump. Jadeja opened up his stance and whipped the ball. Looked to clear long-on or go wide of him, did neither. 347/7 49.5 to Arshdeep Singh, Bosch bowls the yorker of the day. 130ks, lands on the crease in front of middle and angles away to deck off stump and send the bails flying. Arshdeep cleared coast and tried to jam it to point. Missed it. 347/8
| 10 | 0 | 60 | 2 | 6.00 | 27 | 4 | 1 | 5 | 0 | |
26.3 to RD Gaikwad, Brevis with a worldie at backward point. He's slightly behind of the crease. He leapt to the right, took it with just his right hand. Timed his leap and outreaching hand to perfection. Was a fullish ball outside off that Gaikwad tried to drive through cover. Got a thickish edge that went around knee-height, maybe just lower. 183/3 30.3 to Washington Sundar, Taken at mid-off and Washington falls. Fuller just outside off, Washy looks to go up and over Bosch, but he doesn't get enough elevation. Bosch times his jump to perfection and takes a good catch well above his head. Helped to have a tall fielder stationed at the position and India have now lost three wickets in quick time. 200/4

4.4 to AK Markram, Another one! South Africa are in disarray. Back of a length ball angling across Markram, who looks for another punch through cover. He only manages a thick outside edge and Rahul takes a simple catch. Both bowlers have struck for India and this is now a steep climb for the visitors.. 11/3 46.1 to N Burger, Pacy bouncer does in Burger. Was a 132ks seam-up bumper over off stump. Burger ducked but couldn't get his bat down. It stood upside down, vertically and the ball plonked up and Rahul moved right to take a simple catch. 312/9
| 10 | 0 | 65 | 3 | 6.50 | 33 | 9 | 2 | 1 | 0 | |
1.1 to RD Rickelton, JAFFA! Rana strikes with his first legal delivery and is off on a celebratory run. He angles the length ball back into Rickelton, breaching the gap between bat and pad at pace. No foot movement whatsoever from Rickelton, who is caught on the crease and sees his stumps in a mess. Very similar to how Bumrah dismissed Rickelton in one of the Tests. 7/1 1.3 to Q de Kock, Two wickets in three balls for Rana. What a dream start for the fast bowler. Length ball that lands outside off at 139.8kph and shapes away late. De Kock looks to drive on the up, can only manage a thick outside edge with Rahul doing the rest. Rana is making the ball talk!. 7/2 21.4 to D Brevis, Brevis falls on the deep-point boundary. He tried to launch the full ball on fourth over deep over. 139ks. Bat-face opened on impact and the skied ball got couched in Gaikwad's hands close to the ropes. Harshit finger-wags Brevis away. A very pretty 37 but it ends way too early from an SA pov. 130/5

49.2 to C Bosch, Cover in play... and Rohit takes it! India win by 17 runs. It's been a much closer game than what it seemed at many points. Was a full ball on off that Bosch tried to launch over long-off. 332/10
| 10 | 0 | 68 | 4 | 6.80 | 24 | 5 | 3 | 0 | 0 | |
14.6 to T de Zorzi, Huge appeal for lbw... not given and Rahul has opted for DRS almost right away. Oh, that looks plumb. Legspinner on middle stump, that pitches and turns away late. De Zorzi misses the flick and is trapped in front. Only the height in question, I think. He is rapped on the thigh pad. The ball is pitching in line, impact is in line and would have thudded into middle stump. Kuldeep strikes right away and SA are in trouble now.. 77/4 33.1 to M Jansen, Straight down deep midwicket's throat and this is a huge wicket for India. Dragged down, but sometimes these are the deliveries that can get the wickets. Jansen pulls but right off the toe-end of the bat, with Jadeja making no mistake in the deep. Is that the game for India?. 227/6 33.3 to MP Breetzke, Two wickets in three balls and both the set batters are now back in the hut. Gently floated at 84.2kph on the stumps. Breetzke looks to clear long-on, but doesn't get it anywhere near the middle and Kohli takes the simplest of catches. W0W for Kuldeep this over.. 228/7 39.3 to P Subrayen, Straight up and Kuldeep gets his fourth. Floats up the wrong'un turning away from Subrayen's hitting arc. He gets across looking for a big slog sweep, gets a big top-edge that balloons straight up. Rahul takes a comfortable catch. 270/8
