Gujarat Giants 178 for 5 (Deol 70*, Mooney 44, Pandey 2-31, Jonassen 2-38) beat Delhi Capitals 177 for 5 (Lanning 92, Shafali 40, Meghna 3-35) by five wickets
Gujarat Giants' batting might trumped an all-international Delhi Capitals bowling attack and made up for their own sloppy fielding to clinch a thriller and take a step closer to their maiden playoffs berth. In a stiff chase of 178, Beth Mooney, Harleen Deol and Deandra Dottin came together to pull off a stunning effort by ransacking 103 runs in the last 10 overs that helped them to a five-wicket win with three balls to spare.
By taking down the table-toppers who are already in the playoffs, Giants overtook Mumbai Indians to go second on the points table with a better NRR, although MI still have two games in hand compared to Giants' one. Giants' win also meant it was the end of the road for UP Warriorz, who can't make it to the playoffs anymore. Giants and MI will now face-off in a crucial penultimate league game on March 10 in Mumbai.

Victoria 285 & 46 for 0 (Kellaway 23*, Harris 17*) lead South Australia 283 (McSweeney 60, O'Neill 5-51, Boland 4-53) by 48 runs
Nathan McSweeney showcased why he remains firmly in Test calculations with a gritty half-century in the face of some phenomenal seam bowling from Scott Boland and Fergus O'Neill who took nine wickets between them to leave Victoria and South Australia locked in a tight arm wrestle after two days at the Junction Oval.
O'Neill took his fifth career five-wicket haul to maintain his outstanding Sheffield Shield record, while Boland claimed 4 for 53 with spells that were every bit the equal of the best he has shown at Test level, to bowl South Australia out for 283 and give Victoria a narrow two-run first innings lead. That advantage swelled to 48 as Campbell Kellaway and Marcus Harris batted impressively in the final hour of the day.

Green century and Rowe four-for give New Zealand unassailable series lead

NZ got past a poor start to post 245 for 7, which was 78 runs too many for Sri Lanka

New Zealand 245 for 7 (Green 100, J Kerr 38, Inglis 34*, Athapaththu 2-42) beat Sri Lanka 167 (Samarawickrama 58, Rowe 4-31, Carson 2-30, Illing 2-45) by 78 runs
Maddy Green struck her second ODI century and Hannah Rowe claimed a four-wicket haul to give New Zealand a comfortable 78-run win in the second ODI against Sri Lanka and an unassailable 1-0 lead with one game left in the series. Green's 109-ball 100 dragged New Zealand out of a delicate situation early in the game to set Sri Lanka a target of 246, after which Rowe led the bowling effort to stop the visitors 78 runs short.
After a rain-hit no-result in the series opener in Napier, the teams came face to face in better conditions in Nelson and Suzie Bates chose to bat after winning the toss. But she was run-out for only five in the fourth over after a miscommunication, after which Achini Kulasuriya picked off Emma McLeod and Chamari Athapaththu dismissed Brooke Halliday. Both were out to sharp catches inside the circle. Georgia Plimmer, who hit some attractive boundaries in the powerplay, also fell for 28, and New Zealand were 59 for 4 in 18 overs.

Kellaway's innings was crucial as Victoria were bowled out for 285 on a green surface having been sent into bat. Scott Boland then removed both South Australia openers in an examining evening spell to leave the visitors under pressure on 40 for 2 at stumps on the opening day.
