Mustard sent to hospital after nets incident
England's reserve wicketkeeper, Phil Mustard, has been sent to hospital in Hamilton with a suspected broken nose after being struck in the face during batting practice on the eve of the first Test against New Zealand

Mustard, who was not expecting to feature in the Test, was feeding the bowling machine in the nets when he was hit by a fierce straight drive from Kevin Pietersen. He was treated at the scene by the England medical team and then taken to the nearby Waikato Hospital.
England's physiotherapist, Kirk Russell, said that Mustard could expect to feel pain for several days, but it is not expected that he will fly home from the tour.
