Scorecard
Bangladesh Under-19 made a steady, if unspectacular, reply to England Under-19's first-innings score of 392, reaching 209 for 5 by the end of the second day in Derby.
Bangladesh's openers, Saikat Ali and Amit Majumder, provided a steady start, reaching 68 before Amjumder was lbw to Hamza Riazuddin. Ali fell shortly after on 45, also to Riazuddin, and failed to build on his start. It was to become a feature of Bangladesh's innings and wickets fell regularly to peg the visitors back just when they were building a partnership. Anamul Haque ended the day on 45 not out and Bangladesh will want him to carry on and guide them towards England's score.
At the start of the day, England had resumed on 338 for 7 with Riazuddin and Thomas Poynton at the crease. Poynton was bowled for no addition to his overnight score of 1 but No. 10 Christopher Wood stuck around and scored 30 off 52 balls. Riazuddin was the last man out, stumped for 38 off the bowling of Mahmudul Hasan, who finished with 3 for 47.
