Brilliant performance from Scorchers. They are the benchmark still in this tournament. Thanks for your company tonight. Join us again tomorrow for Stars and Strikers from the MCG.

Jason Behrendorff is Player of the Match for his 3 for 21: "I just keep trying to back my strength. I know that swinging the ball is my main strength. I just need to hit a really good length and make it hard for the batters to score. I keep going back to that and try and execute as best as I can."

What a clinic from Hardie and Inglis. Scorchers win by 8 wickets with 22 balls to spare. Hardie and Inglis share an unbeaten 132-run stand to ice the game with ease. They barely looked troubled after the early losses of Eskinazi and Bancroft. Heat were more than 20 runs short, maybe they were 40-50 runs short. The Scorchers have won five of six chasing and they are doing it with ease. They return to the top of the table above the Sixers with a game in hand.

Dezz: "Billings didn't mince his words about the Heats tactics when on the mic either!" Given the teams he has played for, England, Chennai, Kent, that spoke volumes didn't it Dezz.

Geoff: "As a Heat fan, this is just grim. Why are they so bad? Poorly balanced squad? Badly coached? Dodgy selections? Dunno, but this is woeful." The are very inconsistent with selection compared to the Scorchers. Change of leaders mid tournament isn't ideal either. That don't seem to have a recognisable brand
