Scorecard
Led by opener Kraigg Brathwaite, who hit an unbeaten century, West Indies A dominated the second day of the first unofficial Test against Pakistan A at the Arnos Vale Ground in St Vincent. Resuming on their overnight score of 63 for 0, Brathwaite and Kieran Powell dominated the Pakistan bowlers as they put on 91 for the first wicket.
Powell, who made a half-century, was dismissed by Zulfiqar Babar, but that was to be the only success for Pakistan. Brathwaite was joined by Kirk Edwards, and the duo further tormented the Pakistan attack on an easy-paced pitch, adding an unbeaten 125 for the second wicket. Seventeen-year-old Brathwaite reached his maiden first-class century, and was on 117 with 11 boundaries at close of play. Edwards made a more sedate 39 off 143 balls. Only 31 overs were possible on the first day because of rain and play started after more than a two-and-a-half hour delay on the second day due to wet ground conditions. West Indies A were on 216 for 1 when play was called off due to bad light with 10 overs remaining.
