Full commentary

Brian Bennett, Player of the Match: It's nice to contribute to the team's win. We got Afghanistan next week. It's nice to take the win and some momentum into the next week. I'm happy to bat wherever coach and captain wants. We are a young team as well so we are always learning on the game. Today it's a good feeling and to finish off with a victory is very good

Sikandar Raza, Zimbabwe Captain: We wanted to win the series but unfortunately we couldn't. We stood with our youngsters. We had a tough tour but we backed them and for them to win us the game is certainly heartwarming and I'm really grateful for this win. We wanted to get the previous games out of our system because you gonna have to come fresh and clear your thoughts

Salman Ali Agha, Pakistan Captain: It's been outstanding; the way youngsters came in and the way they put their show was outstanding. I would have liked to score more runs but yeah I'm happy I'm contributing with bowling and as captain. It's been very long and we are going to South Africa. There will be sore bodies, that's what we want, that's why we play cricket. We love this game and it doesn't matter if it's sore body. We will try to win there as well. I think (Saim and Sufyan) both have a long future ahead and they will serve Pakistan for a long time. Saim has been playing three formats and doing really well. and Sufyan; he came in Australia, did really well against them and here, he is man of the series; it's outstanding -- they both have a long future

The crowd came for a thriller and they got their money's worth! There were hiccups along the way; catches, run-outs, fumbles and a characteristic collapse in the middle. Maposa's brutal hit on the second delivery of the last over shifted the momentum in Zimbabwe's favor. Pakistan will feel they were 10-15 runs short and lost too many wickets in the middle as the game came down to fine margins in the end and could have gone either way but it was a good learning curve for the plethora of new players on the block. That's it from us here today. On behalf of the entire team, this is Rvel Zahid signing off. Goodbye!

Jahandad Khan to Ngarava, 1 run

Over the wicket, on a length and angled in from wide of off, makes room to smash it down and gets enough to force it back towards bowler; it hits the stumps at non-striker's end and deflects away towards mid-off; they'll run for everything, got over the line and Zimbabwe have finally broken the curse! What an exhilarating game of cricket, an emotional roller-coaster ride. Raza has finally got a smile on his face, relieved captain!

Zed: "This tour started and ended with Pakistan's defeat. "

Jahandad Khan to Musekiwa, OUT

He miscues the skier and there is another twist in the tale! Dug in short outside off and the ball rises head height, he slinks back to tonk a pull but hasn't got all of it, Tayyab Tahir keeps his cool and pouches it well under pressure

Tashinga Musekiwa c Tayyab Tahir b Jahandad Khan 7 (17b 0x4 0x6 28m) SR: 41.17

Abdul Samad: "People criticizing Pakistan have got to realize that there is no main player here.. Even Saim Ayub wasn't playing which means this is basically like a Domestic Squad.. They need time to learn and we as fans should support them so we can build future stars"

Jahandad Khan to Maposa, 1 run

Back of a length around the line off, pokes it back to the bowler, Jahandad fails to hit the stumps at non-striker's end and they sneak a run as crowd goes wild in the stands! The noise is deafening!

Jahandad Khan to Maposa, SIX runs

Slower back of a length delivery at middle and he has clubbed that over midwicket for a six. Pandemonium has broken out! All the way for a huge six to cause delirium in the stands! That was a violent hit and he punches the air in ecstasy. Zimbabwe just one hit away from a memorable victory! Don't go anywhere

4
Jahandad Khan to Maposa, FOUR runs

Around the wicket, short and it angles it towards him, he springs down the ground with intent and gets some bat on it, beats the keeper and it skittles away to the rope. Only 8 off 5 required! Perfect start for the home side and the crowd is up on the edge of their seats!

Goes full and keeps it outside off-stump, tries to biff that over leg side and ends up getting an inside-edge that trickles away to short fine

Abbas Afridi to Masakadza, OUT

Fraction short and angling in, looks stone dead, no confusion about it and the umpire raises the dreaded finger. Masakadza was looking to clip it away off his pads but didn't account for the angle and inward movement

Abbas Afridi to Masakadza, FOUR runs

Traps him lbw! Ball thunders into the back pad and it looks stone dead! No confusion in anyone's mind and umpire is quick to raise the dreaded finger. Abbas gets his man. Hits him plumb in front with a slightly shorter delivery that went on with the angle and he fails to pull that away, took his eyes off in the last second.

18.3
Abbas Afridi to Masakadza, no run

Imperious! In the slot and he doesn't miss out. Half-volley outside off, gets underneath it and pounded hard over bowler's head for a four.

Jahandad Khan to Raza, OUT

Massive moment in the game! Jahandad gets the prized scalp of Zimbabwe's captain. He can't get it past long-on and Omair didn't have to move much to swallow it down his throat! Went leg-side to larrup it downtown but it was getting big on him, was in a tangle and couldn't get the requisite timing. This game keeps oscillating like a pendulum. It was thumped into the surface and cramped him for room

Sikandar Raza c Omair Yousuf b Jahandad Khan 19 (20b 1x4 0x6 35m) SR: 95

Do you think this game will go down to the final over?

17.5
Jahandad Khan to Raza, no run

Back of a length on an irksome off-stump line, blocks it back to Jahandad Khan

17.4
3
Jahandad Khan to Musekiwa, 3 runs

Short and gets a hint of inward nip towards middle, takes him on and clobbers a pull to deep square, fumble in the deep two fielders running towards each other from midwicket and square leg, Tayyab with a wayward throw, they get another run, Zimbabwe fight back!

17.3
Jahandad Khan to Musekiwa, no run

Digs in another slower shorter one but down the leg-side

17.2
1
Jahandad Khan to Raza, 1 run

Belted into the surface on a hard length, pace-off actually, not much room, ball bobbled towards long-on

Jahandad Khan to Raza, 2 runs

Around the wicket, pitched up on middle, played in the V and that is staggering running between the wickets, pushed for the second, remarkable fitness!

Abbas Afridi to Raza, 1 run

Flips it on a shorter length and it's floating outside off, adeptly steers it down to third man. 27 off 18 required. It's getting tighter and with Raza still on crease, I'd say advantage Zimbabwe

1
Abbas Afridi to Musekiwa, 1 run

Hammered in full and tails in; hangs on the backfoot and forces it into the acreage at deep midwicket, better over for Zimbabwe
