11.31pm What a topsy-turvy match this has been, RCB players celebrating near the boundary rope. They started slowly and cautiously, lost three wickets too within first eight overs but when that man Gayle is there till the end, and if you drop him twice, you will lose more often than not. His seven fours and seven sixes became a regular affair towards the end even though he was running out of partners. KKR got him in the end, but it was too late by then. Narine was economical, but wicketless again.

Gambhir: Gayle is going to hurt you. There was no shortage of effort from us and if we keep dropping him it's going to hurt you. Our bowlers tried their best. It doesn't matter how much I score, what matters is how much we have in the kitty and points on the table.

Kohli: It's one of our better wins, I won't say the best. With two fast bowlers winnings the game for you..I was also delighted to see Gayle bat, the way he always bats in T20s. He's getting back into fitness, there have been questions about that. With Starc and Milne not available, it was important from youngsters' point of view to win this, it will give them great confidence. We gave away 15 runs too many, could have restricted them to 160. Chahal said it wasn't turning that much and there was some dew too. Few guys were nervous initially since it's our first game, there are moments but you have to put that behind you. The way we came back in the middle overs was commendable.

Gayle: It was good, both teams played well. Can't complain, to be honest. I want to say Happy birthday to mum, hope she's watching and that was for you. I thought I run well between the wickets. We kept losing wickets, then AB started well and we lost him. I think the turning point was batting with Patel, apart from Morkel dropping me. I told Patel to try and hit a six off Narine and he said he'd try. He missed and I told him, 'you need to try again,' and then he hit one. I told him don't panic and take us home for us.

That's all from us, people! I'm sure you enjoyed what has been the most entertaining match of the first four days. Do come back for the double-header on Sunday as well. Until then, goodbye and goodluck! Ciao!

Shiva Suri: "What is the point of playing Chawla if you give him just one over?"

Swagat: "Some bad balls by Pathan and Shakib followed by a drop catch by Morne cost KKR the match. I am so so so annoyed with Morne morkel."

Morkel to Ahmed, FOUR runs

no need for the last over - that's finished with a four! Nechim made room, got another short ball and went hard at it to get a thick upper edge to send the ball fine on the off side for four

Morkel to Harshal, 1 run

back of length towards the batsman now, he gets some bat towards short fine leg for an easy single

Morkel to Harshal, 2 runs

is that another run out, Robbie thinks he's got him! Harshal played the short of length ball towards third man by opening the face of the bat, the fielder ran in hard, they want two, the throw is accurate, Harshal dives and replays suggest he made it

Morkel to Ahmed, 1 run

makes room to slash at the ball and finds GG at point, but they take a quick single

7 required from 10. Three wickets in hand. Nechim on strike

Morkel to Gayle, 1 run, OUT

another meaty blow, superb fielding in the deep from Pandey and Gayle is run out, would you believe it! He middled it for the cow corner boundary, where Pandey fell over the boundary while taking the catch but made sure he threw the ball back in just before that. The batsmen settled for one initially and realised a little late there was time for a second. Gayle is not completely fit and is slow to come back for the second. Accurate throw and he's well short, what a faux pas

Narine to Harshal, SIX runs

no, he's not going to block it! Got a full delivery and smashed it straight down the ground into the sightscreen with a straight bat. Clean and confident strike!

Gayle says something to Harshal. Probably to just block the next ball?

Narine to Harshal, no run

comes down to smash the ball back to the bowler, Narine gets a hand to it

run out chance, gone to the third umpire! Gayle worked the ball towards sweeper cover in the deep, they had no choice but to go for two with the asking rate. But Abbott fell couple of inches short with that accurate throw
