Dhruv Shorey's 56-ball 74 helped Delhi secure a two-wicket victory over Baroda and register their second successive win in the Super League. Electing to field first, Delhi kept Baroda down to 140 for 8 thanks mainly to seamer Suboth Bhati, who finished with figures of 4 for 20. Despite Gautam Gambhir and Rishabh Pant making single-digit scores, Delhi completed a win with five balls to spare. Captain Pradeep Sangwan chipped in with an unbeaten 12-ball 23.
The big names in the Baroda line-up, too - Krunal Pandya and Deepak Hooda, both of whom are expected to be picked up at the IPL auction - didn't fire. It was instead left to opener Kedar Devdhar to prop up Baroda with a 53-ball 77, including 11 fours and a six. Krunal, who picked up three wickets in the previous game, scored 2 and went wicketless, while captain Hooda made only 1.
