Clattered the stumps! Charges in and attacks the stumps from a good length, Monaghan tries to slam her over midwicket and ends up making a mess of her stumps.
N S-Chargers vs Originals, 16th Match at Leeds, Women's Hundred, Aug 04 2024 - Ball by Ball Commentary
Annabel Sutherland, Match Hero: thought the girls with the bat did really good job, (Litchfield) in particular, came out hard on a very good wicket and then the bowlers again just getting the job done. (on surface) definitely felt like you could hit through the line of the ball and trust your swing. The way the girls defended probably made it look like there was bit more in it than there was so really proud of the group. (at half-time) thought we made a little but under just because it felt like such a good wicket
Northern Superchargers have won this battle at a canter, completely routing Manchester Originals as 138 proved too stiff for them. Wolvaardt got a start, but her dismissal kept bringing wickets for the Superchargers. Lamb got 12, Bryce 13, and then Lauren Filer provided some entertainment with a brisk 20 but there was no innings of substance and impact. Kate Cross was the pick of the bowlers, picking up 4 wickets in 16 balls, Smith got 2, and everyone else chipped in, not allowing Originals to get off the hook at any stage. It seemed like the batting lacked confidence once Wolvaardt got out. The rivalry didn't live up to its expectations today as Superchargers were exceptional in all departments. Sutherland bags another match hero award, continuing her stellar run. Earlier, the turbo-charged stand between Litchfield and Sutherland was the major turning point as they put an imposing total on the board. Lauren Filer from the Originals fought hard with both bat and ball but didn't get much support from her teammates. It felt like the early wicket of Wolvaardt took away the confidence from the camp and they doubted their ability to chase the score, perhaps relying too heavily on the openers. That's it from this game. A happy day for the Superchargers who are picking up winning momentum. Keep following Hundred action. For now, it's goodbye from me, Rvel Zahid, and Ranjith P.

Nasty throat ball, she looks away and somehow manages to shield her head, think it hit the glove and ricocheted past keeper and short third, her hostile set comes to an end
Flabbergasted by the slowness of the delivery, kept very low and was very close to hitting leg stump
Another short ball in the corridor, tries to ramp it away but only grabs fresh air
Banged in short at middle and leg, steps away to the on side and pumps it over the bowler's head, long-on collects on one bounce
Over the wicket, searching for the yorker, missed the target, width available and she swats it away past cover-point for a four, welcome boundary!
Pushed through full on middle, stomps down the track and biffs it back to the bowler
Fired it quick and full outside off, jabbed away to short third
Plenty of flight and dipping in at leg, she dances down the track and heaves it towards cow corner region
Into the blockhole at middle, clipped off the inside-edge to square of midwicket
Over the wicket, good length and a hint of turn outside off, scythes it away to cover-point
Aimlessly walking down the track, throwing the kitchen sink and all the crockery with it, nowhere near the ball and that's terrific work from the keeper, removes the zingers quickly while standing up to a pacer, just one wicket left in the tank
Not giving much pace to work with, tight lines and hard length, tries to pull but can't quite get underneath, fended to midwicket
Takes the pace off, drags her length back and offers little bit of room on the off-side, steers it down to short third
