Fall of wickets: 1-67 (Kyle Mayers, 8.3 ov), 2-71 (Shamarh Brooks, 9.4 ov), 3-71 (Brandon King, 10.1 ov), 4-157 (Nicholas Pooran, 23.3 ov), 5-237 (Rovman Powell, 37.2 ov), 6-279 (Jason Holder, 44.1 ov), 7-288 (Akeal Hosein, 45.1 ov), 8-293 (Odean Smith, 46.2 ov) • DRS
45.1 to AJ Hosein, inswinging yorker from left-arm over. Hosein is late to bring his bat down. Given out lbw WI have two reviews left and Hosein wants to use one. Jags in to ping him on the front foot/boot. No bat involved. Ball-tracking indicates that it would've crashed into leg stump. Akeal was perhaps sent ahead of Odean to target left-arm spinner Shamsi but he has now fallen to the left-arm seamer. 288/7
9.4 to SSJ Brooks, Coetzee strikes in his second over in ODI cricket and celebrates with a big roar. The length is short enough for cut, but the line is closer to off, cramping Brooks for room. He can only drag it back onto his own stumps. 71/2
23.3 to N Pooran, Coetzee returns to the attack and takes out Pooran. Back of a length and outside off, the ball isn't coming onto the bat. Pooran still goes for the pull and drags it to Rassie at midwicket off the bottom half of the bat. That snaps a good stand between Pooran and Hope. 157/4
37.2 to R Powell, chopped on, and Powell yells his frustration out! He looked to pull that short ball away, but seemed to have been late on the shot. The ball was short and outside off, as he swung his bat, only for the ball to take the bottom edge and hit leg stump. I guess it was bowled with a scrambled seam from Coetzee to try and deceive Powell. And despite that, the ball seemed to have good bounce. 237/5
8.3 to KR Mayers, Fortuin strikes with his third ball. He has Mayers holing out to deep midwicket. This is a half-tracker on off stump, Mayers jumps back and pulls flat and hard to Rickelton at deep midwicket. Mayers didn't get enough elevation to clear the debutant at the boundary. He drags himself off the field. 67/1
10.1 to BA King, Fortuin has yorked King. Three quick strikes from SA. Wide on the crease, slider, King jabs his bat down, but the ball sneaks under it and pings off stump. The off bail gets tipped off. 71/3
44.1 to JO Holder, Holder dares to reverse-sweep from the stumps, but ends up wafting it into the leg side off the glove or off the arm. Tossed up and turning in Is Holder out arm before the wicket? SA ask for a review. Ultra Edge indicates that it missed the bat. Ball-tracking indicates that it would have hit the stumps. Good review from SA. Umpire Erasmus' on-field not-out decision has been reversed. De Kock is chuffed as Shamsi marks his return with a wicket. 279/6
46.2 to OF Smith, Shamsi castles Odean. On a length and breaks away, Odean doesn't pick the wrong'un. He plays for the stock ball, but this one goes the other way to hit the top of off stump. Odean was aiming to dink it into the leg side but does not lay bat/pad on ball in the end. 293/8

Fall of wickets: 1-76 (Quinton de Kock, 8.4 ov), 2-123 (Ryan Rickelton, 16.1 ov), 3-184 (Tony de Zorzi, 24.4 ov), 4-200 (Rassie van der Dussen, 27.3 ov), 5-210 (Tristan Stubbs, 29.5 ov), 6-229 (Marco Jansen, 32.3 ov), 7-231 (Bjorn Fortuin, 32.6 ov), 8-238 (Gerald Coetzee, 33.6 ov), 9-287 (Temba Bavuma, 41.2 ov), 10-287 (Tabraiz Shamsi, 41.4 ov) • DRS
27.3 to HE van der Dussen, nabbed at fine leg! VDD runs out of luck after twice surviving in the last over. Good bouncer by Joseph. VDD never looked comfortable against the short ball during his stay, and falls to it eventually. Joseph continued banging it short to VDD, and getting good bounce too. This one climbed on to middle and off while angling in, as VDD pulled with his front leg in the air. But the ball took the top edge, and landed exactly where the fielder was stationed, which was a good few steps inside the boundary. 200/4
41.2 to T Bavuma, gloved down the leg side! Bavuma walks back after raising South Africa's hopes. And he gets a pat on the back from a few West Indies players. What a great fight when there was virtually nothing to play for. A slower ball - like a cutter - banged short on off, and getting it to angle down leg by Joseph. Bavuma went for the pull, but the ball bounced slightly higher and took Bavuma's glove to end into Hope's gloves, as the keeper moved to his left. 287/9
41.4 to T Shamsi, edged, and taken by Hope again! West Indies wrap this one up after a few hiccups, and go 1-0 up in the series. Shamsi went driving at this length ball, which angled away, with Joseph offering the No. 11 something to have a go at. Shamsi fell for it, and ended up getting an outside edge after reaching out for the ball, with Hope taking it lowish to his right.. 287/10
8.4 to Q de Kock, given out leg before, but de Kock reviews. Mayers bowled with a scrambled seam, angling it in off a good length from around the wicket. De Kock looked to defend, as the ball hit his back leg - just above the knee - after sliding past his inside edge. There is no inside edge, and replays show the ball would have clipped the top of leg stump, while returning umpire's call. He survived a review just last over, but this time it goes West Indies' way. 76/1
24.4 to T de Zorzi, bowled him. Clips the middle stump! de Zorzi is annoyed, but Hope is pumped up. There was turn after it pitched full on off, and was fired quicker and flatter. De Zorzi seemed to head down the track but ended up losing balance, as much as getting beaten by the flatter trajectory and the greater pace. Hosein ends a steady stand, and keeps West Indies floating. 184/3
32.3 to M Jansen, Hosein has Jansen holing out to long-on. Jansen gives Hosein the charge. The left-arm fingerspinner holds this back just a shade outside off, has Jansen checking his shot and chipping it to Powell. Regulation catch. SA wobble around Bavuma's steady ton. 229/6
32.6 to BC Fortuin, Dangled up outside off, dips and turns away past the outside edge, leaving Fortuin overbalanced. Hope gathers the ball cleanly and takes the bails off in a flash. Hope and Hosein think they have their man. Yes, Fortuin is out stumped. The side-on angle confirms that the foot is on the line when the bails are dislodged. No part of the foot behind the crease. Key double-strike from Hosein. He is a smart white-ball bowler. 231/7
16.1 to RD Rickelton, Cariah strikes first ball. Umpire Erasmus raises his finger. Rickelton chats with Bavuma and seems like they've reviewed rather reluctantly. Lovely legbreak, nice and full, turns in fairly quickly to beat the inside edge and thud into the pad in front of off and middle. UltraEdge detects a flat line. According to the ball-tracker, it would've crashed into middle. 123/2
29.5 to T Stubbs, a simple catch for Hope moving across to his left! Change of pace from Smith, and this one seemed to have stuck in the pitch while keeping low too. Smith bowled short around off, as Stubbs pulled perhaps expecting the ball to bounce a lot more while also coming on to the bat nicely. But the ball ballooned off the top edge, and Hope came a few steps down to gobble it. 210/5
