The Indian cricket team management is keen to avail the services of Sanjay Bangar before the third Test against Australia in Melbourne on December 26, according to NDTV.com, a news website.
Although no official request has been made to the Board, the team management is likely to do so after the Adelaide Test. According to team sources, the Indians want to utilise their bowling resources better.
Bangar will provide some flexibility to the team with his ability to bowl medium-pace. The team can then play him as the fourth seamer apart from also using him as an opener. There is also a chance that India may play Murali Kartik as the second spinner and drop one of the frontline seamers, with Bangar providing the back up.
