Talha to lead Dhaka University cricketers

Dhaka University yesterday named an 18-member team which will take part in the final round of the 24th national cricket championship now being held in Sylhet.

The team, led by right-arm pacer Mohammad Talha, will take on Chapainawabganj in their opening match on May 25.

Squad: Mohammad Talha (captain), M Mushtaque Munna (vice-captain), Niamur Rashid, Mustadir Litu, Rakib Hasan Bappi, Shamsul Arefin, Al-Shahriar, Sajjad Ahmed, Sohel Islam, Sajid Hasan, Azim Rahman, Moinul Haque, Apurba Roy, Baki Billah, Shafi Kamal, Itrat Jahan, Abu Jewel and Golam Mortuza.

Officials: Dr Moslehuddin Ahmed (manager), Mahbub Latif (assistant manager) and Showkatur Rahman (coach).
