Ahmedabad, Kanpur and Chennai will host the three Tests when South Africa tour India in March. The BCCI also announced that Mohali will host one of the four home Tests against Australia in October-November, with Bangalore, Delhi and Nagpur being the other venues.
South Africa are scheduled to arrive in India after playing two Tests and a triangular series - also involving India - in Bangladesh in February-March. It will be the first Test in over two years Ahmedabad, Kanpur and Chennai.
The last time India hosted both Australia and South Africa for a Test series was in 2004. India lost the four-Test series 2-1 against Australia but won the subsequent two-Test contest 1-0 against South Africa.
