Berkshire have registered former Leicestershire off-spin bowler/batsman Carl Crowe and he will play in Sunday's 2nd round Minor Counties knockout match against Hertfordshire. Twenty-seven year-old Carl will be a welcome addition to Berkshire's spin bowling department in the remaining three-day championship matches.
He made his debut for Leicestershire in 1995 but limited opportunities meant that he only played in 38 first-class matches, taking 57 wickets at a respectable average of 33.77. He was released by the county at the end of the 2002 season.
