Sri Lanka will take on the Professional Cricketers' Association (PCA) Masters side, which will feature Chris Cairns, the recently retired New Zealand allrounder and Jimmy Adams, the former West Indies captain in a Twenty20 match at Arundel Castle ground in Sussex on June 13. Sri Lanka will play a similar fixture against England prior to the one-day series beginning June 17.

The team, captained by Chris Adams, currently leading the Sussex side, includes Chris Lewis, the former England allrounder, Shaun Udal, the Hampshire and England Test offspinner, Matt Prior, the England one-day player and Murray Goodwin, the former Zimbabwe batsman.

Cairns retired from international cricket in February this year with a Twenty20 match against West Indies at Auckland, though it wasn't a memorable farewell as he scored two and went wicketless in the tied match.

"While the match is for charity [funds raised will go towards the PCA's benevolent work], we plan to give Sri Lanka a really tough time," Cairns told Supercricket website. "I've had some significant success on the ground in previous years and with Chris Adams captaining a strong Masters side, I think this game could go down to the wire."

The picturesque Arundel ground is mostly used for tour games and charity matches. Cairns's former team-mate and New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming was part of last year's Masters match against the touring Australians at the same venue. The Australians went on to win the match by eight wickets.
