Commonwealth Bank Cricket Academy (CBCA) coaches Bennett King, Damien Fleming, John Harmer and David Moore will work with 15 of East Asia Pacific's (EAP) elite cricketers in a two-week training camp beginning in Adelaide today.
The cricketers, from the Cook Islands, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Samoa and Vanuatu are preparing for the Australian Country Cricket Championships (ACCC) in January 2004.
It is the first time in its 19-year history that the Championships will feature a team from outside Australia's borders.
Championship organisers, Country Cricket Australia, invited a combined side from East Asia Pacific to compete in the event for regional Australian cricketers.
The ACCC will be staged in Mt Gambier, South Australia, from 4-15 January 2004.
