Day 18 was quiet in terms of earning points, so it's still Ian Chappell at No.1, with 5211 points, leading Sambit Bal by 401.
The first game was between the Kings XI Punjab and the Rajasthan Royals and once again Sambit slipped with his choice of trump. He decided to go with Yusuf Pathan, who, for a change, did not fire and could fetch Sambit only 78 points. Ian, on the other hand, went for Yuvraj Singh, who had a slightly better haul of 128, and that allowed him to further extend his lead over Sambit.
It's now been three consecutive days of bad trump choices for Sambit. "I now have serious proposition for franchises," he says. "If you want your most dangerous opponent out for a duck, make me an offer. I only have to pick him as my trump and failure is almost guaranteed. Five of my trumps have got golden ducks."
The second game between the Delhi Daredevils and the Kolkata Knight Riders didn't do much for any of the Star Wars teams. The common trump pick - AB de Villiers - didn't get a chance to bat and scored just 30 points thanks to his fielding efforts. The other common pick - Delhi captain Virender Sehwag - didn't play.
