The Kings XI Punjab may have scored one over the Delhi Daredevils in Friday's game, but that failed to create any ripples in the Star Wars points table.
Ian Chappell is still firmly entrenched at No. 1, leading Sambit Bal by 295 points, a minuscule gain of two points from Thursday's standings.
Once again it was the battle of the trumps between our top two. Ian went with AB de Villiers, who fetched him 52, while Sambit's trump, Yuvraj Singh, fared marginally better, netting him 96. Ian's haul for the day was 220 while Sambit gathered 218.
Sambit has extended his lead to 854 points over No. 3-ranked Sanjay Manjrekar. Meanwhile Manjrekar's lead over David Lloyd has reduced to 892, down 126 points from Thursday, owing to the 102 points that David got from Irfan Pathan.
