Dholpure, Madhya Pradesh declared their first
innings at 341 for 9 against Punjab on the second
day of thee Cooch Behar Trophy quarterfinal match
at the Pune Club ground in Pune on Wednesday. In
reply to Punjab's 245, Madhya Pradesh have taken a
96 run lead.
Resuming at 26 for no loss, the MP openers SM
Dholepure and NV Ojha (51) took the score to 93
when Ojha was caught behind off Sandeep Sanwal.
Then Mohnish Mishra (38) joined Sachin to forge a
60 run second wicket partnership. Thereafter
wickets kept falling at regular intervals for
Sandeep Sanwal (4 for 113) and Amit Uniyal (3 for
77). But it was Sachin who waged a lone battle. He
was the seventh batsman to fall after ensuring MP
taking the lead.
Haryana qualify for semifinals despite draw
