The BCCI have announced that England will tour India in March and April next year. SK Nair, the BCCI secretary, told PTI that the schedule would consist of three Tests and seven ODIs.
Nair said that the tour would follow shortly after India's tour of Pakistan, and would be in preparation of the Asia Cup, which is also scheduled to be held in Pakistan. The schedule for England's visit was finalised during the ICC meetings that were held in June. The last time England visited India was in 2001-02. India won the three-match Test series 1-0, while the six-match ODI series was drawn at three wins apiece.
Nair also said that India would visit the West Indies for a full tour after England series concluded. That tour is tentatively scheduled to take place in June 2006, but the actual dates have not yet been confirmed. India will then host the ICC Champions Trophy in October and November 2006.
