South Australian selectors have added young fast bowler Paul Rofe to the Mercantile Mutual Cup squad which will travel to Perth to play Western Australia in a day-night match on Friday.
Part of a thirteen-strong squad which will fly west in mid-week, Rofe is the only player to join the twelve responsible for recording a thrilling four-run win over Tasmania at the Adelaide Oval last Saturday.
The Redbacks have enjoyed an exciting start to their 2000-01 campaign, their win over the Tigers having come after a nail-biting three run loss to competition favourite Queensland the previous weekend in Brisbane. For their part, the Western Australians will be making their first one-day appearance for the summer when the teams take the field at the WACA.
The full squad is: Darren Lehmann (c), Greg Blewett (vc), Chris Davies, David Fitzgerald, Jason Gillespie, Ryan Harris, Ben Johnson, Graham Manou, Rofe, Brett Swain, Jeff Vaughan, Paul Wilson, Brad Young
