Sourav Ganguly has been retained as skipper of the Indian team for the
home series against Zimbabwe, national selector Chandu Borde said in
Indore today. Borde who is in Indore to watch the three day match
between National Cricket Academy XI vs Zimbabwe said the decision to
retain the skipper was taken in "five minutes".
However, he said the team for the November 18 to 22 Test match would
be picked up on November 14 in New Delhi which is also the venue for
the match. On the issue of India's proposed tour to Pakistan in
January next year, BCCI secretary Jaywant Lele said it would be
decided on November 15 and added that "The government will decide
whether the team should be sent to Pakistan or not."
