French Open Tennis - Coria v Henman, Friday June 4th
Tim Henman is 10/1 with us to take the French Open title after a vintage show to oust Juan Ignacio Chela in the quarter-final. Despite pre-match support for Chela, after it was believed that the early rain would favour the Argentinian, Henman made a blistering start to take the opening set before his powerful all-court game allowed him to close out a one-sided match.

This is his best ever performance in a Grand Slam event outside Wimbledon, and he is only two matches away form the first British Singles win at Roland Garros since Sue Barker back in 1976. His semi-final opponent, however, will be Guillermo Coria, winner of 26 of his 27 matches on clay this season, and our 4/9 favourite for the title. Henman is 5/1 with us for this year's Wimbledon.
bet365 French semi-final match prices...Coria 1/7, Henman 4/1.
Prediction: Coria to win by 3 sets to 1 @ 11/4. More Set & Handicap Betting on bet365 website.

  • West Indies v Bangladesh (starts Friday June 4th at 15.05 BST)
Prices are now available for the 2nd Test in this series, and not surprisingly we make the home side favourites at 1/7. This match is going to be played on a much bouncier wicket than St Lucia, so if there is no weather the WI should smash the Bangladeshis, even after the last game. However, thunderstorms are forecast in Jamaica - although the local weather forecast of 50% rain does not give much away - so a note of caution is advised before steaming into the WI. In our Top Team Batsman market Gayle looks a fair bet for the WI at 11/4 (1st innings only). Top Bangladesh Bat looks more of a lottery, so I would rather back Khaled Mashud at 11/1 than Habibul Bashar at 5/2. Man of the Match, Batsman Matches, and Highest 1st Innings Partnership betting is also available.
    bet365 Match betting...WI 1/7, Bangladesh 22/1, Draw 4/1.
