Subject to Jane McGrath's reaction to cancer treatment in the coming weeks, the Australian Cricket Board (ACB) confirmed today that fast bowler Glenn McGrath will resume his place on the Travelex Tour of the West Indies later this month.
Jane McGrath, who has been diagnosed with a secondary cancer infection in her hip, consulted a specialist in Sydney on Friday 4 April and received a positive prognosis on her condition.
She will undergo radiation therapy, with the treatment expected to lead to a recovery.
Glenn McGrath, who is expected to travel back to the West Indies on 21 April, will miss the first two Tests of the Travelex Tour of the West Indies.
McGrath's anticipated travel plans would have him arrive ahead of Australia's tour match against the University of the West Indies Chancellor's XI, which begins at Cave Hill in Barbados on 26 April. The third Test of the four-Test series starts on 1 May in Bridgetown, Barbados.
