The club chairman of Gloucestershire, Ray Parsons, has died. He passed away on Friday night after battling leukaemia.
He joined the county committee in 1994 and was appointed deputy chairman in 2002 before becoming the club chairman in January 2006.
A statement issued by Gloucestershire said: "Ray was a tremendous servant of GCCC and he did a great deal for this club mostly in an unsung way. Very popular, we are all deeply saddened by his death and will all miss him very much."
