Haryana began their campaign in the North Zone Ranji Trophy One day tournament on a happy note, registering a nine wicket victory over Jammu & Kashmir at the Air Force Station ground, Delhi on Friday.
J&K had a sad outing with the bat, being bundled out for 102 in 42.1 overs. Sonu Sharma and Thakur bagged two wickets each but the star of the day was medium pacer Feroz Ghayas who scalped four wickets for 20 runs off 7.1 overs.
In reply, Haryana reached the target in 21.4 overs. Opener Jasvir Singh scored an unbeaten 56 (including 11 boundaries) and skipper Parender Sharma chipped in with 38. Haryana picked up two points for the victory.
