The ICC today announced umpire and match referee appointments for upcoming Test and ODI series.
The appointments cover Ireland's inaugural ODI, against England at Stormont on Tuesday 13 June, the five-match ODI series between England and Sri Lanka that begins on Saturday 17 June and Pakistan's tour of the UK, including four Tests and five ODIs, the first of which begins on 13 July.
Former West Indies captain Clive Lloyd, a member of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC match referees, will officiate at the Ireland - England ODI and he will do likewise for the five ODIs between England and Sri Lanka.
Lloyd will be joined in Ireland by Emirates Elite Panel umpire Darrell Hair and Roger Dill, the Bermuda fireman who recently became the first member of the Associate and Affiliate umpire's panel to stand in a ODI when he officiated in the Bermuda-Canada-Zimbabwe tri-series in Trinidad.
Hair will also stand in the first two ODIs of the England - Sri Lanka series, on 17 June at Lord's and three days later at The Oval, before Billy Doctrove, recently promoted to the Emirates Elite Panel of umpires, takes over for the matches at Durham (24 June), Old Trafford (28 June) and Headingley (1 July).
In each of these England - Sri Lanka ODIs, the ICC umpire will be joined by an appointee of the England & Wales Cricket Board.
The first three Tests of the four-match England - Pakistan series - at Lord's starting on 13 July, at Old Trafford beginning two weeks later and at Headingley starting on 4 August - will be overseen by Emirates Elite Panel match referee Ranjan Madugalle.
Former South Africa all-rounder and another Emirates Elite Panel member Mike Procter will then take over for the final Test of the series - at The Oval commencing on 17 August - as well as the five-match ODI series that follows.
Simon Taufel, the ICC Umpire of the Year and currently in action in the West Indies - India Test match in St Lucia, will stand alongside his fellow Emirates Elite Panel umpire Steve Bucknor for the first two Tests of the England - Pakistan series.
That duo will then be replaced by Doctrove and Hair for the final two matches of the series with Doctrove standing in his eighth and ninth Tests but his first since joining the Emirates Elite Panel.
He will then stay on for the first three England - Pakistan ODIs, in Cardiff (30 August), Lord's (2 September) and Southampton (5 September) before his fellow Emirates Elite Panel umpire Daryl Harper takes over for the final two games, at Trent Bridge (8 September) and Edgbaston (10 September).
In each of these ODIs, the ICC umpire will be joined by an appointee of the England & Wales Cricket Board.
The appointments for the Scotland - Pakistan ODI, in Edinburgh on 27 June, and the matches between the Netherlands and Sri Lanka in Amsterdam on 4 and 6 July will be announced in due course.
