The one-day circus stops off at Sydney on Thursday for the third match between Australia, the VB Series leaders, and India. Australia are 4/9 to record another victory, while India, who were victorious last time the teams met, are 13/8 to repeat the feat with a fourth consecutive win.
For Australia, Simon Katich steps in to the sizeable shoes previously occupied by Matthew Hayden. Katich handled the Indian attack with considerable skill during the Test series, and looks a good bet at 5/1 to make an impression by top-scoring for the home side.
The current VB Series top-scorer is Adam Gilchrist, who will take a two-match break later in the series. But for the time being he remains favourite at 11/4 to carry on his good form. He is narrowly ahead of Ricky Ponting, who has a highest score of just 37 in his four matches to date. Punters looking for longer odds should cast their gaze towards Michael Clarke (stand-out odds in the Top Team Batsman market of 10/1) or Andrew Symonds (6/1).
For India, Sachin Tendulkar should return to the fray, and he is immediately installed as 9/4 favourite to top-score for India. Virender Sehwag, Sachin's fellow absentee against Zimbabwe, is 7/2. Skipper Ganguly looks good at 4/1, and VVS Laxman is the stand-out bet at 11/2. In spite of their good showing against Zimbabwe, Rohan Gavaskar and Yuvraj Singh could be competing for one place. Yuvraj is 15/2 and Gavaskar is 9/1.
Pre-match markets also include Match Sixes, Batsman Matches and Player Performances. Wisden Cricinfo's betting partners bet365 will be betting live throughout the game.
