India v Australia, 4th ODI, Mohali

02-Nov-2009
Australia left their batting Powerplay late, at the end of the 44th over. And with Cameron White looking solid as ever with fifty, Dhoni turned to his Powerplay specialist, Ashish Nehra. With the fifth ball on his return he successfully ran out White. It was a blow from which the visitors never recovered as Nehra sent back Johnson and Siddle in the successive overs that followed.
Virender Sehwag took a particular liking to Mitchell Johnson at the beginning of the Indian reply, smashing him for three fours in his second over, followed by another three in the next. With 40 off the first five overs, India had got off to a whirlwind start.
Just when it seemed that Harbhajan Singh and Praveen Kumar would stir up the ghosts of Vadodara, with 47 to get off 48 balls, Shane Watson ended the resistance with a smart reflex catch off his own bowling. It was a full ball and Harbhajan tried to hit it straight, but was through the shot too early and hit it to Watson's right. That wicket was the beginning of the end as Watson had Praveen caught behind next over.
