34.6 Sharma to Watson, OUT, strangle down the leg side. First wicket of the series for Ishant Sharma. A length ball, down the leg side, Watson thinks he can get four, but he ends up playing it too fine, and Dhoni takes a nice catch diving to his left
SR Watson c †Dhoni b Sharma 9 (35b 0x4 1x6) SR: 25.71
45.4 Jadeja to Clarke, OUT, what a ripper. Clarke has done everything right with this, but the off stump is flat. On a length, dipping on him, pitches middle, Clarke moves forward to defend, and the ball turns past the bat and flattens the off stump. Jadeja has bowled Clarke twice in this match. Clarke is a bit stunned. Unlike Henriques in the first innings, Clarke was playing straight here
MJ Clarke b Jadeja 16 (31b 0x4 1x6) SR: 51.61
47.2 Jadeja to Cowan, OUT, Cowan is finally gone, caught off the pad of Dhoni by Sehwag at slip. Flat, shortish, Cowan goes to cut, but the ball skids on, takes a healthy edge, which hits Dhoni's pad just above the knee roll, the plateauish region from where it bounces to slip where Sehwag is alert. Cowan doesn't look pleased. Is he just disappointed or did he want the umpires to take a look at the replay to see if it bounced off the ground? I won't analyse facial reactions
EJM Cowan c Sehwag b Jadeja 44 (150b 6x4 0x6) SR: 29.33
48.1 Ashwin to Wade, OUT, can't keep Jadeja away. Now he has ripped the stumps out with a direct hit from cover. It's a bad, bad call from Australia. Pushed off the back foot towards cover, Wade calls Henriques for one, Jadeja swoops in fast, and even despite a fumble Jadeja has run him out by a mile. That throw is a rocket. That throw is going fast even in slow-motion replays
MC Henriques run out 0 (4b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00
54.1 Ashwin to Maxwell, OUT, that's plumb lbw. Carrom ball. Lovely use of it. Using it for the lesser batsmen and not for the top order. Anyway this wicket was a-coming. Maxwell has hardly looked assured. This drifts in towards the pads, is full, and Maxwell thinks he can flick it square. He has not read the ball at all. It pitches, turns the other way, and hits the back pad in front of middle and off. Very good use of the variation: sparing and against a lesser batsman
GJ Maxwell lbw b Ashwin 8 (22b 1x4 0x6) SR: 36.36
58.1 Ashwin to Wade, OUT, falling like nine pins here. Will Australia declare now? Tossed up wide outside off, Wade pushes in hope, gets a soft edge, Sehwag accepts it with glee at slip
MS Wade c Sehwag b Ashwin 10 (28b 1x4 0x6) SR: 35.71
66.6 Ashwin to Pattinson, OUT, it's all over at the HCA Stadium. Ashwin gets five. Full, straight and flat. Beats the inside edge, it is deemed to be going straight on to hit the stumps. Pitches in front of leg, does it straighten enough? Dharmasena thinks so. India now have a hand on the Border-Gavaskar Trophy
JL Pattinson lbw b Ashwin 0 (27b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00
