INDIA v ZIMBABWE

At Leicester, June 11

15-Apr-1984
At Leicester, June 11. India won by five wickets. Zimbabwe, put in after a start delayed by drizzle until after lunch, showed little of their form of two days earlier and were unsettled by the amount of swing and bounce obtained by the Indian bowlers, especially Madan Lal. The Indian fielding was fallible, but Kirmani took five catches - a wicket-keeping record in the competition. India made the 156 they required comfortably.
Man of the Match: Madan Lal.
