Pandit to lead MP in Ranji One-dayers:
The joint secretary of the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association, Subash
Bayas said on Friday that the selectors have retained Chandrakant
Pandit as the skipper of the State team for the forthcoming Central
Zone league of the Ranji Trophy One-Day tournament.
The matches, to be organised by the Railways Sports Control Board,
will be played at New Delhi from December 6 to 11. MP take on UP in
their first match on the opening day. Their other fixtures are against
Rajasthan (December 7), Railways (December 10) and Vidarbha (December
11).
The team: Chandrakant Pandit (captain), J P Yadav, Ankit Shrivastava,
Amay Khurasia, Devendra Bundela, Abbas Ali, Nikhil Patwardhan, H S
Sodhi, Mohd. Arif, Manish Majithia, Narendfa Hirwani, Yogesh
Golwalkar, Kapil Seth and Sanjay Pandey.
Sharjah Under-19 team to play five one day games in India
The secretary of the Lucknow Cricket Academy, Mohsin Raza, said in
Lucknow on Friday that the Sharjah Under-19 team are slated to play
five one-day matches against the Lucknow Cricket Academy in December
as part of Youth Asia Cup.
Speaking to Press Trust of India, Raza said the team would be
accompanied by former Pakistan off-spinner Tauseef Ahmed and fast
bowler Shahjad Altaf as the manager and coach.
