The 1998 Kingston Wharves Under-19 cricket competition will begin with
the first three rounds on Tuesday, August 11 and Wednesday, August 12.
A trial match for Surrey South is scheduled for today and tomorrow at
the UWI Bowl. The invitees are David Bernard, Ricardo McKenzie and
Jermaine McFarlane (Jamaica College), Danza Hyatt, Ralston Bell, David
Lemmie (St. Jago), O'neil Powell, Wayne Gayle, Dwight Satchell, Gavin
Britton (Excelsior), Durale Forrest, Howard Hamilton, Kemar Brown
(Padmore All-Age), Andre O'Sullivan, David Harrison (Jonathan Grant),
Ryan Strachan, Tamayo Hutton (Campion College), Ewan Doharty, Michael
Buchanan (Calabar), Peter Caballero, Everton Richards (Spring Garden),
Xavier Charvis (St. Catherine High), Omar Haynes, Craig Dawkins
(Bridgeport Comprehensive), Fabian Logan, Melvin Aquart, Albert
sterling, Raul McFarlane, Jowayne Robinson, Christopher Morgan, Clive
Brown.
These players will be joined by National Under-19 representatives
Christopher Gayle, Tamar Lambert, Barrington Bartley, Jermaine Lawson,
Bevon Brown and Keith Hibbert.
The Surrey North trial is scheduled for Wednesday July 29 and Thursday
July 30 also at the UWI and the following players have been invited:
Carlton Baugh, Jnr., Donovan Pagon, Damion Reece, Andre Miller
(Wolmer's), Sheldon Smith, John Martin, Shacourie Wilson, Swainton
Rhule, Ramon Hutchinson (St. George's College), Kerry Scott, Martin
Isaacs, Andrew Dennis, Crag Lynch (Kingston College), Kavon Buchanan
(Camperdown), Ian Dewar (Lucas), Garnett White, Harlon Haye, Lerone
Tyrell, Kerone Lindsay, Kevin Douglas, Duane Stona, Maurice Bailey,
Gary Goodwin, Kirk Johnson, Adian Neil (Portland Cricket Association).
They will be joined by Under-19 representatives, Marlon Samuels, Ryan
Smith, Sean Cousley and Phillip Keating.
Cornwall will have their trial Saturday, August 1 and Sunday, August 2
while Middlesex will announce their trial dates shortly.
