James out for the rest of the season

Steve James, the Glamorgan captain, will miss the rest of the season after breaking his little finger whilst fielding in Tuesday night`s Norwich Union League win over Worcestershire.

James, who had an operation today in Cardiff, will miss the final two Championship matches of the summer, as well as the Norwich Union games against Kent at Canterbury and against Warwickshire at Cardiff.

Robert Croft will take over the captaincy, whilst Jonathan Hughes and David Harrison come into the squad for the Championship encounter with Worcestershire, starting in Cardiff on Thursday.
