Kendall awarded cap after career best 201 and 1000 runs

Will Kendall, Hampshire's young prospect, was presented with his 'County cap' as he returned to the dressing room at tea during the County Championship game against Sussex.

Brian Ford Hampshire chairman and captain Robin Smith were there to greet the beaming batsman who was on 200*, a career best that surpassed his 145* for Oxford University in the Varsity match of 1996. Kendall struck Justin Bates for four to supass 139, and pass the 1,000 First-Class runs in a season.
