Cricket Kenya is set to benefit from revenues earned from last year's Afro-Asia Cup according to Samir Inamdar, CK's chairman.
Inamdar and Tom Tikolo, the board's CEO, are in South Africa for the AGM of the Africa Cricket Association, and are confident that income from TV rights from the tournament will filter down. "The Africa cricket body made a good surplus in the past season from the Afro-Asia games and TV rights," Inamdar explained. "We will discuss on the modalities for its distribution and any further assistance that could be given."
Inamdar added that Kenya's development would also feature high on the agenda and that he would be pushing for them to play more cricket.
