Mr Speed said the captaincy and vice-captaincy appointments would be
decided by the Australian Cricket Board's Directors at their full
meeting in Melbourne on Friday, February 12.
The Australian party will gather in Sydney next week, departing for the
Caribbean on February 17. Australia retained the Frank Worrell trophy
with its 3-2 series victory in Australia in 1996-97 and will play four
Tests and seven one-day internationals on this tour.
Mr Speed said the players chosen for the one-day internationals would be
named on March 24, at the conclusion of the Sheffield Shield final.
