New uniform looks, and feels, a treat

It was an early start on Thursday morning for the team as we hurriedly packed our bags and departed Timaru to return home for a couple of days. The team will reassemble on Monday.
Rollsy (Rebecca Rolls), Emily (Drumm), Cate (Sexton - our manager) and I headed back to Lincoln in the minivan, as we were required to assist New Zealand Cricket with the season's launch of the new uniforms for the CLEAR White Ferns and the CLEAR Black Caps.
We arrived at Lincoln and quickly changed into the uniforms before stepping out onto the catwalk. Geoff Allott and Chris Harris were on hand with a carefully choreographed routine for us to follow that involved a few catwalk turns, a few catches and one or two laughs behind the curtains before they opened.
The stunning black uniforms made by Wstar look great. The fabric is high quality hi tech and very light weight, designed to draw moisture away from the body whilst allowing good ventilation through side panels. Another feature of the shirt is the shimmering silver ferns that are interwoven throughout the shirt - very subtle but quite striking. We will wear our new uniform for the first time when we play Australian on November 29.
Another very successful launch for New Zealand Cricket.
Well, I'll look forward to updating you again soon once the team assembles in Christchurch this coming Monday.
