Prabath Nissanka has been severely reprimanded and fined 20% of his match fee after showing dissent during Sri Lanka's 79-run defeat against Pakistan in the opening match of the Bank Alfalah Cup at Dambulla on Saturday.
Nissanka swore after an appeal for a catch behind the wicket off Taufeeq
Umar was turned down by the umpire, Peter Manuel.
Gundappa Viswanath, the match referee, held an inquiry after the close of
play and adjudged that Nissanka had committed a Level One offence according to the International Cricket Council's code of conduct.
Nissanka claimed 1 for 26 from nine overs.
