The Israel Cricket Association is saddened at the passing of Nissim Abrahams who died last week, aged 73.
Nissim Abrahams came from the famous Be'er Sheva family who were instrumental in pioneering cricket in the South when Israeli cricket was finding its way. His father, Ben, was one of the doyens of Israeli cricket.
Nissim played for Be'er Sheva for many years. In recent years he moved to Ramat Hasharon to be near his children. Over the past 5 years he was a much sought after umpire for games at Hadar Yosef.
The Israel Cricket Association extends it's condolences to his family, and especially to his eldest brother Raymond, who has served local cricket for many years as a player, umpire, coach and administrator.
