Karachi, Oct 22: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB has beefed up
security for the two teams and the National Stadium in the backdrop of
a bomb blast in town on Sunday morning.
Yawar Saeed, director of the PCB, said more escort would be attached
with the teams while the police would be posted at the Stadium. Yawar
also expressed his concern on the disapparance of tickets for
Tuesday's match. He said he inquired from the concerned authorities
who said they had 30% tickets still available.
He said he has instructed the Allied Bank to set up a branch in the
stadium so that the fans can buy the remaining tickets. Tickets will
be on sale from 3:00pm.
Yawar said the PCB would also keep a very tight watch on Tuesday to
make sure that tickets are not black marketed. He said law enforcing
agencies personnel will be on duty in civil clothes to arrest the
touts.
Meanwhile, Aziz Bhatti police station arrested a tout who was selling
Rs 1,200 ticket at Rs 2,500. During a body search 20 tickets were
recovered from him. He has been detained for further interrogation.
