Sports events mark Independence Day

LAHORE, Aug 15: Sports events in different disciplines were organised in the provincial metropolis to celebrate the Pakistan Independence Day.

LCCA president cricket XI defeated Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman team by 15 runs in a cricket match at the LCCA ground. The brief scores were: LCCA president team: 102 for three in 25 overs (Muhammad Younis 26, Rashid Anwar 12, Najam Mirza 11, Naveed Bhatti 10, Javed Ali 10; Azhar Zaidi 1/20, Mahboob Alam 1/25, Sheikh Iqbal 1/25).

PCB chairman XI: 87 all out in 25 overs (Mahboob Alam 16, Anwar Khan 16, Asif 12, Shahid Butt 9; Naveed Iqbal 3/19, Qaiser Ahmad 3/15, Najam Mirza 1/20, Younis 1/10).
