Konica Queensland Fire players Megan White, Tricia Brown, Belinda Matheson and Melissa Bulow have earned selection in the Australian Women's Youth team, the Commonwealth Bank Shooting Stars.
The four players will play in a series of matches next month against the
New Zealand 'A' women's team in Melbourne from February 10.
The squad will also play a match against the world champion New Zealand
team before the White Ferns' six-match series against the senior
Australian team, the Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars, in February and
March.
Bulow capped her selection in the Under-23 outfit with a century for the
Fire in their clean-sweep against the Western Fury at Allan Border Field
on the weekend.
White made her One Day International debut for Australia in 1998-99 when
she was 18 and along with fellow allrounder Tricia Brown and Bulow, has
previously been a member of the Australian senior squad.
Matheson, 18, is regarded as one of Australia's most promising
allrounders and has enjoyed an impressive debut season in the Women's
National Cricket League in 2001-2002.
