Karachi, Feb 22: Former captain Ramiz Raja has been appointed as
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) manager cricket operations, sources
said. Raja took over the charge of his additional assignment on
Monday, sources added.
Ramiz Raja, when contacted in Lahore, confirmed that he has been
assigned to look after international and domestic cricket.
"I will manage international and domestic cricket. My job is basically
to streamline cricket affairs in the secretariat," he said. Raja is
also one of the five members on the advisory panel of the PCB.
He said his duty was to negotiate and finalize tours, prepare
itineraries and sort out any problems, if any, at the domestic
circuit.
"It's a very vast field. But these are some of the salient features of
my job.
"I have been appointed because I was in Lahore and also available. In
addition to this, Yawar Saeed also required some assistance," he said.
