A round-up of the day's play from Group A Ranji Trophy matches played on November 22, 2013

Vidarbha 457 for 6 (Shrivastava 187, Fazal 147) v Karnataka
Scorecard
Vidarbha began the day on 244 for 2, led by innings from both Faiz Fazal (139*) and Shalabh Shrivastava (75*), with the pair building their overnight stand of 181 with a further 22 runs, before Fazal was dismissed caught behind off HS Sharath for 147. Shrivastava took on the role of sheet anchor from there on as contributions from Ranjit Paradkar (27) and Sumit Ruikar's unbeaten 48, ensured Vidarbha ended the day strongly on 457 for 6. Shrivastava was undefeated on 187, his career-best score in first-class cricket.
Odisha 245 for 5 (Pati 94, Samantray 64, Yadav 3-48) lead Jharkhand 221 by 24 runs
Scorecard
Resuming on 37 for 1, Odisha looked to rein in as much of Jharkhand's first innings total of 221. Opener Bikas Pati continued to anchor the innings, while his overnight partner, Deepak Behera, was out off the first ball of the day to seamer Shankar Rao. One Behera replaced another as Niranjan Behera came to the crease, and put on a further 62 runs for the third wicket with Pati. Once Niranjan fell for 39, and Govind Podder soon after, Biplab Samantray, the captain, came to the crease and together with Pati added 132 runs for the fifth wicket. Pati missed out on what would have been a maiden ton by six runs after he was dismissed by fast bowler Varun Aaron as Odisha reached stumps on 245 for 5, holding a slim lead of 24 runs.
Punjab 172 and 127 for 2 (Jiwanjot 51) lead Gujarat 127 (Baria 43, Sandeep 4-59) by 172 runs
Scorecard
With Gujarat at a precarious 61 for 6 at stumps, in response to Punjab's first innings total of 172, it was imperative that the remaining batsmen were able to add as much as they could to limit the gap between the two sides. No. 10 Bhavesh Baria fought valiantly with his 43 off 73 to add as much as he could to Gujarat's first innings score. Sandeep led the way for Punjab's bowlers with 4 for 59, as Gujarat were bundled for 127. With Punjab holding on to a 45-run lead, both openers, Jiwanjot Singh and Ravi Inder Singh started promisingly with a 100-run stand, before both were skittled out in the 46th over within three balls of each other. Taruwar Kohli (14) and Mandeep Singh (8) were at the crease at stumps, with Punjab on 127 for 2, and holding a lead of 172 runs.
Delhi 201 (Bhatia 39, Budhwar 4-56) and 35 for 0 (Gambhir 26*, Chand 9*) lead Haryana 138 (Ishant 5-29, Bhatia 4-32) by 98 runs
Scorecard
Ishant Sharma exploited the helpful conditions of the Roshanara track to the fullest with a five-wicket haul as Delhi gained complete control on the second day of their Ranji Trophy group match against Haryana by taking a 98-run lead. Ishant and Rajat Bhatia shared nine wickets between them as Haryana were shot out for 138 in only 55 overs. In the remaining one hour, Delhi scored 35 runs with Gautam Gambhir reaching 26, courtesy of a couple of streaky boundaries, and an equal number of crisp ones.
