South Australian Cricket Australia (SACA) president Ian McLachlan has made the following statement following the passing of Berry Favell, SACA Honorary Life Member and wife of former Australian Test player and South Australian captain, Les Favell.

South Australian Cricket Australia (SACA) president Ian McLachlan has made the following statement following the passing of Berry Favell, SACA Honorary Life Member and wife of former Australian Test player and South Australian captain, Les Favell.
SACA President Ian McLachlan said that Berry was much loved by many cricketers and those near to the game in South Australia, so many of whom she made almost one of her family.
"Berry Favell, like her husband Les, adorned the cricketing world in South Australia and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew them."
Les Favell, who passed away in 1987, played 202 first-class games and 19 Test matches. He captained South Australia from 1959 to 1970, leading the State to two Sheffield Shield wins in that time.
