Sussex have signed Victoria allrounder Damien Wright as a replacement for their overseas player Yasir Arafat, who was selected to play for Pakistan in the five-ODI series against Australia in Dubai and Abu Dhabi from April 22.
"Damien's an experienced campaigner and has had an outstanding season with Victoria this year," Mark Robinson, the club's professional cricket manager, said. " I'm sure he will fit seamlessly in to the team and we're excited about his arrival."
Wright averaged 31.33 with the bat for Victoria in first-class cricket last year and took wickets at 28.50 apiece.
