Prize catch: Sanjay Manjrekar has brought Nehra into his side for the last lap • AFP
Even disaster has a silver lining. On Sunday, 17 May, due to certain technical issues, most people trying to access their Fantasy teams on Cricinfo were unable to get through or make any changes. It was decided that in the interests of fairness, no points would be computed from Sunday's games. (Apologies to all who somehow managed to log in and make Yuvraj Singh and AB de Villiers their trumps).
But here's the good news. Everyone, yes everyone, has been given a bonus of 10 transfers. So if you were desperate to get some non-performers out of your team, but didn't have any transfers left, here's your chance.
What this means for our Star Wars league is that Sanjay Manjrekar and David Lloyd who have been at No. 3 and 4 for more than two weeks, now have a golden opportunity to threaten Sambit Bal and Ian Chappell's positions. David - who had no tranfers left - has already rung in the changes with four transfers being used already. Bangalore's in-form man Ross Taylor comes into his team and so does Rohit Sharma. Sanjay Manjrekar has brought in Ashish Nehra and Jacques Kallis - since the Royal Challengers Bangalore still have two games (including today's) left. Ian for his part has brought in Chennai's Shadab Jakati.
It will be interesting to see how Ian and Sambit now ward off this new threat. Stay tuned for lots of action and upheavals in the Star Wars points table.
