So what's been happening recently?
Yes, the World Cup's over. But before we move on, let's first relive a few moments from the final with the man who would have been named top Twitterer of the tournament, were there such a thing - Jimmy Neesham.
Before the match began, he made his priorities clear.
The tension was palpable.
And like many New Zealanders, he had plenty to say about the dimensions of the MCG.
But once the match finally got underway, he soon settled into that timeless pastime, picking up on inadvertent double entendres made by the commentators.
If only his team-mates could have performed so well. In the end, all that was left was the straw-clutching.
And New Zealand also had to wave goodbye to Daniel Vettori.
Since then England have arrived in St Kitts ahead of their Test series against West Indies. Stuart Broad brings us the weather forecast.
While an infamous absentee appears to be filling his time by inviting obvious jokes from his detractors.
Such as inside a silver birch?
A valuable lesson.
Kemar Roach's lessons have rarely been opaque, but his philosophy seems to be becoming ever more straightforward.
Or maybe he'd just followed Paul Collingwood at the cash machine.
Last time around, Steven Finn was revelling in being back in a UK Nando's. But has the dream turned sour?
Perhaps it is renouncing the cricketer's traditional diet that has allowed Andrew Flintoff to become unrecognisably svelte since retirement.
And for our now traditional highbrow finish.
